Iran PVC in USD/ton
PVC (often suspension grades such as S65 / S70) is a core Iranian export polymer. International buyers typically negotiate in USD per tonne, while local sources publish in rials — so FX method and venue (IME vs OTC) both move the number you use in a call.
Building a usable PVC quote
- Identify the grade and producer family you actually trade.
- Pull the latest IME session figure when available.
- Pull a same-window OTC offer for the same grade family.
- Convert both to USD/t at market IRR (not CBI official).
- Read the spread; check 2–4 weeks of history for one-off spikes.
IME vs OTC for PVC
Exchange prints set a published reference after the report. OTC can diverge on logistics, cash terms, and day-to-day liquidity. ICPI puts both in one screen so you do not rebuild the comparison from Persian PDFs and chat forwards each morning.
Honest limits
- Information product — not investment advice and not a live exchange terminal.
- Grade names are normalised automatically; rare source typos may remain.
- Spread is only meaningful when both sides exist for a comparable date/grade.
